Hi! I had a mother call me the other day concerned about her frozen milk tasting soapy. Her baby is 2 months old and she began dipping into her oldest milk from 2 months ago. She reports that the baby is not rejecting it but wonders if there are any issues with giving this milk to her baby. Also worried about the soapy taste getting worse with time. She checked another bottle that was just a few weeks old and said it was less soapy. She doesn't want to have to scald her milk if she doesn't have to but she will. She is going back to work in one month and is wondering what to do. She make 2000 mls a day pumping 6 times per day and has been working very hard to decrease her supply. She doesn't want to waste any of her milk, of course, and she doesn't want to have to do unnecessary work. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thank you so much!
