In a message dated 9/1/2013 12:00:31 A.M. Jessica, writes:

I would start off by asking the kids questions - start off by simply
asking 'What do you know about breastfeeding?'. Ask them what the recommended
age a child should breastfeed for, what do they feel about seeing a mother
breastfeed, do they think the mother should hide in a bathroom when her
child  is hungry.

~~~ Oh nice ideas Jessica. One could even lead in more subtly with 'what do
 babies need and how can moms make sure they get it?",or 'how are most
babies  fed':... something like that? That eases into the "breast" word, if
that's  helpful.
When my daughter was little, ( maybe 6-8 months,very smiley,  in arms) we
went to several health classes for middle and  high school students ( some
all girls, some coed) and I  remember the one thing that made an impression (
other than my happy engaging  baby) was the ease with which I nursed her as
I sat on a desk in  front of the class, as we talked, without anyone "seeing
 anything." For those who are so deeply into body issues, this seemed  very
helpful for them to know.
Peace,
Judy
