Generally I tell mothers that the way a bottle is used is way more important than the type of bottle and make them aware that the claims made by bottle manufacturers about being closer to breastfeeding, being anticolic etc are marketing claims and not evidence based (and the more claims the more expensive the bottle). Babies may have their own preference for a particular type of bottle but they may as well start with the cheapest bottle as well as anything.
