Isn't it possible for breastfed babies who are fed expressed BM to overeat?
I teach moms paced feedings. I had a 2 month old patient the other night,
admitted for RSV. Mom exclusively pumps. Baby has reflux. At every squeek,
she forces the bottle in her mouth, lets her very quickly suck down 3 to 4
ounces, and then complains when she vomits. I had to teach her paced
feeding, use of an anti-reflux bottle, and slow-flow nipples. She said the
LC's and MD's in mother/baby were very unfriendly about her choice to
exclusively pump. All she needed was some education.

Subject: Hugest Baby Ever!
Well, today in my store a mother cam in with an infant and her HUGE toddler
in the stroller. After striking up conversation, I asked how old he was.
She replies, "he just turned two". Then I had to ask, "So how much does
this gig guy weigh?" Answer; "FIFTY SEVEN POUNDS!"
OMG, he was really too big for the stroller. Then my final need to know!
How long did he nurse? Response; 7 months! I could just see the 8 ounce
bottles being given to him every couple of hours all day and all night. Who
knows, maybe he is still bottle feeding.
Broke my heart!
