Dear Wise Ones,
The meeting with the client went well.
Despite the txt msg I received informing that the biological mom has no
intention whatsoever to bf, I still broached the subject which was well
accepted.
(How sad that the biological mom is a dr.but maybe these babies will change
her intent).
The client who wants to induce lactation after her only child weaned 8 yrs
ago, added that 15 months ago she underwent a craniotomy to remove a
schwanoma vestibulary.
Consequent to the surgery she has thick scar tissue behind the ear, is deaf
in the same ear, has minimal range of neck motion in that direction, that
side of her neck is usually stiff, does not sense heat nor cold but is
What could the implications of this surgery have on lactation?
She also added that she's not post menopausal but going thru the process:
every few weeks develops PMS symptoms: swollen breasts, abdominal heaviness,
water retention. After 10 days urinates a lot and the symptoms disappear.
Had 2 episodes of no more than a drop or two of bleeding over the last 6
months. Last time was 2 months ago.
She again emphasized that she does NOT want any hormonal treatments
Feedback appreciated.
Debbie Kali
