Dear Lactnet Friends:
Barbara Morrison did research on the exact topic that Jessica Callahan so
beautifully posted about. She found that the average number of Day 1
postpartum interruptions in a 12-hour day was 54 (range 38-72)!
A poster presentation discovered that Nap Time led to a decrease in
night-time supplementation.When mom isn't fried, and can get an afternoon
nap, she can better cope with nighttime feedings.
