Whatever presentation form you use, PLEASE don't just read it! You have a nice piece of time, use it wisely and don't try to cram too much in. You need to cover BF in the first 24-48 hours. To a hospital based group I 'd focus on things like common baby actions in first 24 hours and next 24 hours. How little a baby really needs (by way of amount of colostrum) benefits of colostrum, STS and laid back nursing, what to do if mom and baby are separated. Diane Spatz in one of her lectures, mentioned how moms who come into her specialty hospital (CHOP) have low supplies because mom & baby were separated and mom didn't get good info in a timely fashion on how to pump to bring her milk in. Moms who deliver at CHOP in their special delivery unit (Know baby will be in trouble as soon as born) have robust supplies because of how mom is taught to pump and express.
Good news from CHOP, twin there having her esophagus reattached to her tummy. Mom and healthy twin are there at the hospital, they even provided a bassinet for healthy twin!!! Pat in SNJ
