The Indian Health Service Hospitals (US Dept of Health and Human Services) and many Tribal Hospitals (US) are seeking Baby Friendly accreditation. Many of the facilities see families prenatally, at delivery, and later for pediatric and post partum care..
So the question has been asked about billing for lactation support. Does anyone have tips or procedure/process ideas that they can share? For example, does the visit need to be tied to physician or midwife supervision? Does the AAP billing code information still work?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts. We are excited about Baby Friendly. Good things are happening.
