How frustrating for all involved. Here are some suggestions that might help:
Discontinue pump and try hand expression if possible x 1 wk.
Discontinue lanolin or other similar products or gel pads.
I would be inclined to possibly use just a cortisone cream for inflammation.
Possibly also take an anti-inflammatory/analgesic like ibuprofen for a week.
After 2-3 days of above, try to feed baby about 1/3 his feeding then latch
to breast with the laid back position.
What do lactnetters think of any of these suggestions?
