I don't have any research to back it up, but anecdotally I just recently
spoke to 2 different women who had much lower supply in the breast on
the side where the nipple had been pierced vs the other side that
hadn't. I mused that the piercing could have scarred some of the ducts
shut, or nerve impulses were impeded due to nerve damage from the
piercing.
