I'm curious what pump the mother is using. If it is a pump in style, I
would have her pop the diaphragm cover off. I suspect there is mold, milk,
etc in there which means the motor is compromised as well.
Last year had a mother complain of repeated mold growth in her tubes
despite replacing them a few times. The pictures of under the cover were
scary. Multiple colors of gook, mold, it was crazy.
I wonder if milk got in the tubes and repeated use pulled it under the
cover.
