PTP: mama of a 4 month old girl had emergency surgery for a burst appendix. She was in the hospital for a week, pumping several times per day. Now when she pumps she gets very little, and her baby falls asleep while nursing with not a lot of swallowing. Baby had a pattern of nursing only 5-6 times per day! Mom is feeding EBM, breastfeeding, and trying to pump. We talked about doing lots of STS, breast massage, pumping when possible while still protecting sleep, and breastfeeding most of all. We also talked about good nutrition, and Malungay. She is taking fenugreek 3X daily 2-3 tabs.
She asked about motilium. would it make any sense for her to try to order motilium? It would take 2 weeks to arrive from New Zealand.
any other ideas?
Thanks!!
