To add to the comments of a number of Lactnetters who posted on inadequacies
regarding the Medela Freestyle pump, I've recently been told of faulty
manual Avent Isis pumps being returned to pharmacies for replacement. Not
just one or two, but a cluster. This would mean there are probably other
buyers who just assume their breasts are at fault and not the pump, and
don't take it back. I'm talking about brand new pumps, but second-hand ones
from friends or online.
I'm wondering if this is just one factory with poor quality control, or a
general pattern in other localities. It is some time since I've seen a
mother with this particular brand as the mothers I'm seeing are using
different brands (if they happen to have a pump). Comments?
