Christina, in the United States gathering comprehensive information about IBCLC salaries and then using those figures to set prices might be considered "price fixing" and is an illegal practice. For instance if two drug companies collude and set higher prices for their drugs - then the public does not have access to free market competition to lower the costs of those drugs.
