Hello Lactnet community, I have been asked by a local career and technical
school to present a lecture on breastfeeding to their Liscenced Practical
Nursing Students. As per their instructor, most of these students do
continue on to pursue an RN degree. What to include? I have an hour and a
half, and I'd like to use my time wisely. I looked at the topic briefly in
the archives, but if anyone has new suggestions for me I would be delighted.
In a related issue, my daughter, who is 18 and headed to art and design
school, said I must not use Power Point (too predictable), but an on line
presentation format called Prezi. It certainly looks very engaging and
fresh, but the only way to use it for free is to have your presentations in
"public domain". This makes me a little nervous, as I'm not sure what that
means if I am asking for permission to use photographs, etc. I think it
would be more prudent, and perhaps necessary, to shell out the $60 and have
privacy... Thoughts?
Thanks so much,
Alison Keating, RN, BSN, IBCLC, LLLL
