Hello,
I have been pretty silent for the last few month. But want to let you
know that I gave birth to a Baby Girl two weeks ago.
She is my baby #8 and a girl #5.
I had been very nervous about having a hospital birth after my last
one was a home-birth, and had heard a few horror stories about the
birth and postpartum treatment of Mom's and Babies in Israeli
hospitals. I am happy to say that my worries turned out to be
groundless, at least in this case. My birth plan was read and
respected. I was not badgered into any procedures I did not want, and
was free to decline any treatment I wanted to decline. For myself and
for the baby. No one has even made a suggestion of formula feeding to
me and I did not see a formula rep. Sadly formula was very visible in
itself and a lot of the Moms did not even try nursing.
I had to spend 2 extra days in the hospital due to the hemoglobin drop
and was very impressed with the care and attention given to us. Since
I had to go to the hospital to have my baby this was a place for it.
P.S. You can see the baby picture on my blog Chicken Stitches

All the best.
