I don't know the answer, but as part of my preparation for the IBCLC exam, I believe came across a similar question last night. Wouldn't this be kin to a baby in a daycare situation getting another mom's expressed breast milk? In that case, the only true concern is HIV, since hepatitis is not transferred through breastmilk. Wouldn't this be like a nurse accidentally sticking herself with a needle after it has been used? Bloodborne pathogens protocols would be used, including getting the wound to bleed, and washing it well. I am surprised the MD didn't have a more thorough answer.
Nothing like a real life question to engage the pre-test brain :-)
