I need a clarification from the wise IBCLCs out there. As part of the journey to baby friendly the nursing staff have to be taught how to teach patients to safely prepare and feed bottles. I know that IBCLCs cannot teach bottle feeding to groups. Does this include groups of healthcare personnel or just groups of patients/consumers? For those that have been down this path, how did you accomplish this and whose guidelines did you follow?
Thanks,
Polly Westra RN, IBCLC
Glad to still be in sunny South Florida
