I am defending my thesis on October 16th on breastfeeding perceptions and practices of Registered Dietitians in MN. I explore this idea of how attitudes can make such an influence in practice and that even if you do not work directly with moms and babies; professional practices towards facility policies, supervising of staff, and even interactions with friends and family are so detrimental to the normal act of breastfeeding. I also talk about how every healthcare profession needs to include USBC's Core Competencies in their curriculum. I am hoping to have it published after I get the final "okay" and officially graduate. If I do, I will be sure to share with the group :)
