Greetings from blizzard-ridden S. Norway :-)
It's great if anyone wants to share my previous post about the new
practices implemented in our hospital. PLEASE include the name of the
hospital,Sørlandet Sykehus, Kristiansand. I will appreciate it if everyone
who shares it, also lets me know where they have spread it to. I am going
to collect all the e-mails I've received about it since yesterday and
present them to the staff nurse who drove this process forward. She was
inspired by another hospital elsewhere in the country and I know they are
all standing on the shoulders of Kerstin Hedberg Nykvist, Uwe Ewald and the
other great people in Uppsala, Sweden.
I work postpartum myself, this is just something so great and momentous I
had to share it on behalf of those who are directly involved. While it may
be that my persistence in trying to keep breastfeeding on the agenda for
the hospital has contributed to a climate where such innovation is
possible, I am only the eager messenger on this story. Please make that
clear, too, when sharing.
It would be fantastic if it helps inspire others.
