I'm pretty sure that the AAP was aware of what Abbott was doing. That was one of my concerns when Hale Publishing took over the publishing of The Little Green Book of Breastfeeding Management, so it was written in the contract that it would not be done. If you are not in a position where you can just discard them, you could remove the front covers or cover the advertising with a sticker listing your lactation services.
