This is an incredible presentation tying together the paleobotany record of the earth's poles over the last 3.6 million years.  The fluctuations in both the Greenland ice sheet as well as the western and eastern Antarctic ice sheets are truly profound.  The resolution of the lake sediment record is the most detailed record ever obtained and captures a highly detailed polar history with wide temperature swings with a highly sensitive and rapidly changing environment.
