ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
The electrical charges from a VDG generator can stream off a point, but gather around a sphere. While connected to the VDG's sphere and seeing the hair-raising effect, you can alternately point and make a fist and usually can see the difference in your hair. When you point, the hair should go down a bit as you are allowing the charges to stream away from your body. The hair should go back up when you make a fist. Sometime you can even hear a squeaking sound when you point your finger. (Quick, get out the VDG!)
