Here are some other ideas to add to the other good topics suggested for
Child Welfare worker education about breastfeeding:
Domestic violence and reported cases of child abuse and neglect are lower
when there is breastfeeding in the home.
Breastfeeding initiation promotes a strong mothering relationship; there is
less child abandonment.
Women will choose to mother better than their own mothers if the choice is
presented to them.
When a woman has a baby, there is a window of openness to new ideas.
Breastfeeding is one of those ideas.
Abused women may have a longer breastfeeding duration.
Mothers can breastfeed in a shelter.
