Mead Johnson in the Philippines
Partnership possibilities seem endless for industry giants!
http://www.meadjohnson.com.ph/news_Young_Learners_Named_Big_Winners.html
The Mead Johnson Nutrition brand partnered with National Geographic Little Kids magazine- "The Enfakid A+ See What They Learn program is just one among the many ways Mead Johnson Nutrition shows its support in providing the best start in the nourishment of Filipino children,” says Mead Johnson President Paul Richards. “We have been in the country for 50 years so far, and look forward to providing premium products and programs like this, for 50—and more—years to come.”
True intent with devastating, deadly consequences for the Fillippinos -
By now most US breastfeeding advocates know about Nestle but are likely under-informed about our other US infant formula companies business schemes globally.
Mead Johnson in Jan of 2011 expanded their Board and appointed Celeste Clark as Director. Celeste Clark is Senior Vice president, Global Public policy & External Relations and Chief Sustainability Officer for the Kellogg Company. Ben Lo became the Senior Counsel (believe a legal position) for Mead Johnson, previous position Counsel at Kellogg. Revolving door between Mead Johnson and Kellogg Company. Have you heard of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University? Guess who donated $10 million to Northwestern? Hint: the school was named Kellogg. Answer: the Kellogg Foundation donated the money! Kellogg is considered one of the top business schools in the US.
The Mead Johnson - Kellogg connection is peaking some interest. Could Kelloggs be the next player to enter the infant formula game? Funny, that the Kelloggs Foundation is pouring money into the US breastfeeding support arena this year....Hmmmm. Very interesting, aye?
