She is having liposuction done & wants to know the ramifications of the
fat removal and the release of toxins stored in the fat into her system. Will
this affect her milk?
~~~ Hmm, thoughts:
~My sister's liposuction ( thighs) was done years before she was pregnant,
but she made enough milk. ( She also had breast augmentation surgery as
well. This was not for underdevelopment or asymmetry, but to recover normal
after bouts of eating disorders that further "disordered" her body over
time.)
~ If done by a competent practitioner, the assumption would be that mom
does have fat to be removed beyond normal healthy fat deposits of
healthy women, so mom would not lose too much fat as much as be closer to normal,
yes? Also I assume the liposuction would not affect breasts directly. (
Belly fat, thigh fat, etc being removed.)
~ I am unaware( but am not an expert) that removal of fat by sucking it
out with a tube, would lead to toxin release at higher levels than regular
or extreme weight loss as a mom would lose weight over time without
liposuction. I would think, it would just be gone, but again defer to experts.
Thoughts?
Peace,
Judy
