It will be important for this mom to make it clear to the court that she is not using bf as a weapon against dad, or she may get a punitive response.  If she takes the initiative to be very generous about sharing parenting time, and the only request she has is to preserve the nursing relationship, she might do all right.  That said, this little guy is 18mo and can probably learn pretty quickly how to go to sleep at dad's.  She may want to focus on making sure nursing is well-supported for the new baby, instead.  One must really pick one's battles in divorce court.
