Your tax dollars at work -- the HRSA resource, The Business Case for
Breastfeeding, has information on setting up lactation rooms, from the
simple to deluxe. Here's the link -- which includes a link for reading
it on-line:

If it's a large facility/campus, I wonder if two smaller spaces might be
handier -- if a mother has to walk 15 minutes each way, it really makes
it hard to fit the breaks into her day.

<[log in to unmask]> Subject: guidelines for lactation rooms I have
been contacted by a representative of our large VA (veterans'
administration) hospital who is working on providing lactation rooms for
the facility. Are there guidelines anywhere on how many rooms
needed/employee? And I also reminded her that they will have visitors
who could use such a room also. Where to start? Does anyone know of a
resource? Warmly,Pat Bucknell IBCLCAvon Lake OH
