Hi Everyone,

Breastmilk has cooties, so anything that it touches has cooties! How is all other medical equipment (IV poles where blood is hung, fetal monitors, IV pumps) cleaned? Probably wiped down with some strong antibacterial solution. Especially since breastmilk is not considered a biohazard, why are the breast pumps different?

Fighting the "eewww" factor on a daily basis,

Angie Daniels, RN, IBCLC
