@ phyliss you mean: MFC "prebiotic" not probiotic. Meaning "food" for good bacteria, not the good bacteria themselves. Another way to confuse the consumer :(
I am disgusted by the cavalier use of PIF and the unsafe mixing and diluting of it.

I was horrified to see it mixed at the bedside with Emfamil water and hung for hours continuos drip in a Level 1 PICU! The nutritionist on the unit said she can manipulate the calories better with the PIF! She has NO idea of the risk! Clueless- regarding banked breastmilk.
I did educate her & staff while I was there ESP on the use of banked donor milk which we are using exclusively for my 11 mo niece in the PICU. This hospital had no written policy for banked milk and had never used it!

So we buy it, ship it and they hang it! Has made a world of difference for my grandneice, Charlotte. Her legacy- no more PIF in that PICU and donor milk offered as a viable choice for parents in the PICU

See & share our miraculous story - http://charlottesmiraclemilk.wordpress.com/
