Hi Dr. Martin,
Could you arrange to be given a few minutes on the agenda of the ENTs meeting (I'm assuming they meet regularly). You can come prepared with some literature, criteria that indicates clipping is needed, and of course your observations that mothers and babies are not happy bottlefeeding in lieu of bf.
You could also request that something be arranged by the ENT(s) to teach you how to clip frenulums, because you see a dire need to do them. They may be willing to teach you, or they may not want to lose the referrals, and be more willing to do them.
On the other hand, are there other doctors in your field (peds, family practice?) who clip frenulums and would be willing to teach you.?
Good luck. When even doctors can't get tongue-ties released, it really scares the rest of us.
