Indeed this is the case.
French commentators realised this a couple of years ago, when her
book first came out.

You don't need to speak or read French to get the picture.
It's a disgrace, and of course Harper's will have known of this. A
quick stroll through the internet reveals it.
We had a similar flurry in the UK a few months ago when her book was
given a shed-load of publicity here. But I don't think it was
influential in the slightest. I am in touch with many mothers in RL
and on line, and I don't remember a forum post, a blog entry or a
conversation about it happening at the time or since.
Her arguments are totally specious, very unconvincing, and of course,
commercially-led.
