Before declaring that something will happen, I would like to see references to original source material when it comes to the Affordable Health Care Act. There is rampant misinformation being perpetuated by many parties who want to politicians this for their own gain -- without providing sensible information about how best to change things in ways that may benefit our clients and ourselves.

So, specifically, please send original source material (not quotes from politicians) of the analysis by a credible source please.

Personally, since I don't rent or sell pumps, I don't really see how this will affect my ability to practice.

Secondly, there are many benefits that have already kicked in and are slated to kick in with complementary legislation in New York State that will reduce my husband's and my business costs from having to purchase health insurance and a horrendously inflated rate because we subsidize large corporations and pay more taxes for those who don't seek preventive care and end up in the emergency room.

I know that USLCA has been undertaking analyses of how this might affect practitioners and I am hoping they can specifically address how it may affect those of us in private practice.

Sincerely,

Susan E. Burger, MHS, PhD, IBCLC
