Dear Lactnet Friends:
Gluten is a protein. Proteins from the mother's diet enter her milk. If the
mother is eating gluten-containing foods, her milk will contain gluten.
Does the rise in celiac disease come from a combination of other factors: a
big increase in vaccination, changing maternal diets, pollution?
What about all the research that supported the "nothing but human milk for
about 6 months" ?
Why not let the babies decide for themselves when and what to eat, as they
decide to walk and to talk?
warmly,
