Mom is considering trying scalding but had also read that the vomit smell may indicate oxidation rather than high lipase.  



What I suggested to her is based on my experience with raw goat's milk.  Like you, I noticed that my raw goat's milk could smell bad in just a couple of days.  I also had raw goat's milk that lasted for a week before smelling/tasting sour.  I found that the farmers who ice bathed the milk immediately after milking the goats had milk that tasted the best for the longest.  I suggested to the mom to try this with her milk.  She is going to try putting her freshly expressed milk into a water/ice bath to cool it instantly and report back how this works.
