In this area of the world, the risks of powdered infant formula are NOT well known and I have seen moms come home from the hospital with powdered infant formula. Many health care practitioners are unaware of the risks and I've had to send evidence about the risks. I just recently worked with a mother who was told to use Nestle Good Start (powder of course), water and prune juice for her constipated baby. She was given ZERO instructions on how to prepare it and ZERO information about the risks of powder. Her baby had no signs of allergies and Good Start isn't even hypoallergenic anyway.
Best regards, Susan Burger
