Hi Everyone! I was wondering if I could use this opportunity to "pick
your brains". I am working on an independent study course for my MS in
Human Nutrition degree. I don't feel that the average RD gets more than
just "nutrition during breastfeeding" through their lifespan nutrition
education. This presentation/PowerPoint will be designed for a Master's
level course. What would you like dietitians to know more about in
regards to lactation? I am going to include the breastfeeding 101 type
of information re: how it all works; also what the different levels of
lactation credentials are available citing the ultimate "expert" as the
IBCLC (which I hope to attain next July!); but what other in depth
information would you suggest? Maybe more on the whole
jaundice/supplementation debate... HELP! J On a side note, I am also
working on a thesis on breastfeeding and the Registered Dietitian -
fingers crossed that someday I may be able to add to the research on
breastfeeding that has been published in a peer reviewed journal...
Thanks for any suggestions! Please feel free to email off-list.
