~~~ Since I didn't see this mentioned, I will just drop it in. I also
remember a few moms whose nipples did evert, with either patience or hand work
or pumping, but the tissue was SO exquisitely tender, that mom couldn't
stand to have the baby on there. It took several weeks of one-sided nursing and
pumping on the other side, to keep up supply and all early wounding to
heal, as well as that brand new, never felt air or anything, skin to be able
to tolerate even a deeply and comfortably latched baby.
