Dr Nice,

I am not understanding the following in the FDAs response,

<Although the isolated cases of neonatal adverse outcomes (e.g. seizures, bradycardia, unstable blood pressure) were reported in infants of mothers ingesting methergine for more than one day, the PK data showed that methergine is present in breast milk after a single dose. >

I was under the impression, when reading the response by Dr Hale, that the only problems were when methergine was accidentally given directly to infants. Do we know of any instances of babies being affected through breastmilk? It seems very unlikely.
