Maybe - for occasional use - if she is looking for something that LETS her sleep rather than something that PUTS her to sleep. Hope she is putting babe to sleep in babe's own bed when mom takes any sleep med. Two thoughts: 1. how about a standard otc dose of motrin occasionally. Easing those background aches can LET you sleep. 2. try asking her some of the key questions from the Depression Assessment. There are about 4-5 out of the dozen or more Qs that can show if you need to refer her for PPD. Thay stress of trying to be the "perfect" mom can cause sleep deprivation.
