There is a new mother (daughter of a friend of mine) in Brookline MA
who is looking for a LC who can help her with positioning for
breastfeeding a 5-week-old with a thick labial frenulum and possibly
a lingual frenulum problem too. She needs to be seen by a Lactation
Consultant experienced in positioning in such a case (particularly
the labial constriction) to relieve pain and efficiency in feeding.
She will see an ENT for the lingual problem and is considering
addressing the labial problem.

She may have vasospasms from the constant pain with feeding.

I looked on the ILCA website for names and there are several
possibilities, but if any Lactnetters can check that list and give me
a recommendation, I will greatly appreciate it.

Mom is an MD and is dedicated to breastfeeding this "first
child." She does need a thorough evaluation and recommendation.

We've been communicating for a week but Wisconsin to Massachusetts
lactation advice leaves much to be desired.

Please reply privately to me.
