Speaking about the difficulty of cleaning the Medela calma nipple, what
about trying to clean the Dr. Brown one? The design looks like
something out of the 17th centrury and the milk comes out the same, with
and without, the internal glass bulb and pipette. We have a
breastfeeding clinic in Vancouver, funded by the government, where the
doctor who runs the clinic, pushes the the Dr. Brown bottle on all her
clients and often tells the moms, "it is my way or the highway". Guess
there is a good kickback for selling it. Same doctor tells mother there
is no such thing as nipple confusion.
I feel sorry for the poor mama's trying to breastfeed (not to mention
their vulnerable babies).
Renee (in Vancouver)
