Some self promotion.....asking the children who were breastfeeding about breastfeeding was a part of my study of long term breastfeeding in Australia. There are a couple of publications from this work reporting on this part of the study.
Gribble, K. D. (2010). ‘Receiving and enjoying milk: What breastfeeding means to children’ in Shaw R & Bartlett A. Giving Breastmilk. Demeter Press, Toronto, ON. pp 64-80.
Gribble, K. D. (2009). ‘As good as chocolate’ and ‘better than ice cream’ how toddler, and older, breastfeeders experience breastfeeding. Early Child Development and Care 179: 1067-1082.
If people are interested, email me privately and I can send you a copy of the journal publication.
