I've just come back on Lactnet after a break. As regards the discussion on vitamin D levels, the new Australian guidelines for infant feeding, which were released at 12 noon on Monday, provide guidance on this issue for the Australian situation, where people are outdoors more. Australian residents on this list need to accss locally specific information from the website.
The Australian guidelines retain the global recommendations for about 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding. On another issue, one of the Lactnet list mothers, Karlen Gribhble, is cited several times in the references.
