Carrie asks,

I'm up for my 5 year recertification. I am currently not employed as I am
knee deep in raising three little boys :-). Considering the expense, I was
wondering what happens if you allow your liscense to expire. How difficult
is it to get liscensed again in a couple years or so? Is it worth it to
put it off or just bite the bullet and do it now?>>

I suggest you bite the bullet and do it now. If you decide 3 years from
now you want to re-up, you will have to get 90 hours lactation education and
1000 hours of breastfeeding clinical hours -- unless IBLCE has changed the
requirements -- again.

Basically, you start all over. Much easier to just take the exam again in
July if you haven't collected enough CERPs.
