I quote Ruth: "Formula isn't evil.  It's a useful substitute for human
milk.  What's evil
is the way it is marketed to crowd out the competition, and the way it's so
much more available than timely help to establish and maintain
breastfeeding.  Evolution means that breasts shut down production if milk
is not removed, as if the baby has died and the mother's body is conserving
resources for the next attempt at passing on her genes.  This means the
formula company then gets the monopoly on feeding the child because the
breasts are driven out of business-- usually in less than a week!"

I agree with Ruth, and there is more.

What's good about a product that makes babies sick or kills them? What's
good about a product that contains ingredients that aren't on the label,
like MSG (that gives adults headaches). Why aren't all babies getting human
milk regardless of their mothers feeding choice?

Whatever your opinion, it is true that formula marketing is evil as the
public is deliberately mislead in order to maximise profit.  Sicker mothers
and babies are the result.

Tell me please, what's good about this?
