I am wondering about lecithin for plugged ducts.  Every source I have looked at says lecithin is good for clearing up plugged ducts and keeping the milk free-flowing.  What I don't see is how long the mother needs to take it.  Does she have to take it for the entire time she is breastfeeding?  Can she stop at some point?  Are there studies on this?

Thanks,
Julie Tardos

Breastfeed early, and breastfeed often.
It's just like voting.
