THis is copied (with permission) from a pregnant mother (due in July). I would really appreciate any advice or input to give her as I am a new IBCLC and have not encountered a lot of fertility issues and breastfeeding.
" I have a question that I thought you could help me with or find more information on. I will start with a little of my background story to make sense :). My husband and I had to do ivf to become pregnant because I have hypo gonadotropic hypogonadism. That makes my fsh and lh levels low so I don't ovulate on my own. Basically I'm wondering how that will affect me going into labor naturally because I want to have a drug free natural birth and how that will affect my breast feeding. I don't know if it will but can't seem to find answers. I was hoping if you didn't know that maybe some other consultants have dealt with it before or at least could direct me to some more information. I hope this isn't too confusing! If you can help please let me know. I would sincerely appreciate it!"
Thank you in advance
