Some educational offerings will facilitate a 'panel' discussion which in my experience can be accredited with CERPs. There does need to be some structure to the panel topics. 


Susan in my experience we call that time at the beginning of a conference where the 'details' are laid out 'housekeeping'. If you conference actually begins with content at 9:00 then housekeeping can begin at 8:50.
