Judy, I also got that email from that company in Brooklyn. I took a look
at their website, and then wrote to tell them I am not interested in
dealing with companies that are not WHO Code compliant. Apart from the kickback
scheme (!!!) they are also not marketing feeding devices in accordance with
the Code.
~~~ Musing here: This company rents pumps of good quality, so I would
consider putting them on my list of possible places a mom could rent a
hospital-grade pump. Sadly, I think few or none of the local places follow the Code
regarding marketing of these and other Code items. Geographically, they
are in an area I normally don't go to, just too far and too "suburban" ( lack
of easy public transportation when carrying a scale) but it's also true
that sometimes all the places closer are out of rental pumps. Then again their
bribe ( that's what it feels like to me) is icky...
